Baked Sweet Potato Wedges

Recently, My mum and I went to a farm to pick out vegetables on our own with a family friend. One of the items we (well mainly my mum, I just stayed in the car for this one..Sorry Mum!) picked out some sweet potatoes. I love potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy, potato fries, potato chips but I've always been hesitant to eat sweet potatoes. You could say I'm a little picky with my food but the name just didn't sound right. Potatoes that are sweet? And they're orange? Hmmm... The only time I would actually eat them is when my mum bakes it into wedges. I absolutely love this as a snack and I wanted to share it!

You will need:

As many sweet potatoes you'd like

Sea Salt (It makes it taste better)

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

A tray and an oven

Directions:
1) Soak your sweet potatoes in water if they still have dirt on them
2)Scrub them until they're clean if you are going to eat with the skin (your fingernails might get dirty)
3)Cut them into decent sized wedges
4)Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
5)Place the sweet potatoes onto tray
6)Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle sea salt over it
7)Put in the oven to bake for 25-30 minutes
8)Serve!

And there you have it! The best thing about this snack is, you can eat it when it is warm or cold! They taste good either way and it is also healthy for you. Consume in moderation and Enjoy!

Lots of love,

Thigh Gaps

Alas another one of society's ridiculous trends that are starting to impact a lot of lives. Thigh Gaps. If you go onto tumblr, there are thousands of girls wanting a thigh gap. Models and celebrities are also sporting this UNHEALTHY trend. Scientifically speaking, the only healthy way to get a thigh gap is if you have a wider set of hips. Unless you have thigh gap naturally, they are extremely unhealthy. In magazines nowadays we see a gorgeous model, we marvel at her thin body, how her skin just shines, how beautiful her hair is, and how she has a gap in-between her thighs.. We now think that is what beauty is supposed to be. Women starve everyday to get that thin body, they eat and then throw up so they trick their body into thinking that they ate, but by doing this, they can get disorders. Anorexia, Bulimia and so on. My main message to everyone out there is, You DO NOT need a thigh gap to feel beautiful. If someone pressure's you into getting one, they are the wrong person to be with. Be comfortable being you, you are beautiful.

Lots of love,

Beginning Something New

As a teenager we make a lot of decisions. Some smart, some utterly stupid and some that is considered "just being a teenager". After many months of thought  and deliberation, I've decided to start a blog and try to put my creative mind into another kind of use. I hope to help people, brighten up their day and also to have fun doing this.

Lots of love,
